PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kenric Kyle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rodney Blake (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kyle kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Simply Ravishing. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Josh West, Paul Gruel and Chris Saunders.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kyle throws a leg kick
and Blake counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
A jab from Blake does it's job there.
Kyle tries for a takedown but Blake sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

This has been an exciting period of action!

The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Kyle has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Kyle and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Rodney Blake hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Rodney Blake is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Kyle misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

I would just about give that final round to Rodney Blake.
