Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Reggie Noble (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Greg Dixon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Greg Dixon has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Reggie Noble's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Reggie Noble!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Greg Dixon!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, William Peck and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Noble shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Dixon but Dixon pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Dixon gets a takedown into half guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Noble tries to roll over but Dixon keeps him under control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Still in half guard, Dixon seems content to control.
Noble is refusing to be controlled, as Dixon sits in half guard.
Dixon is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Noble!

BOOM! Dixon connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Noble keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Noble is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Poor strikes thrown by Dixon there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Dixon trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Noble is looking to improve his position but Dixon isn't that keen on the idea.
Noble is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Dixon looking to ground and pound but Noble is blocking nicely.

Dixon has control of Noble's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Noble regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Dixon is landing with some decent strikes but Noble is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Dixon fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Noble is breathing heavily.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dixon tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Noble pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Noble pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Noble throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Dixon's waist but Dixon gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Noble off to one side.
A punch combination from Noble misses.
Dixon tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Noble manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Noble gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Dixon slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Dixon's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Greg Dixon hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Dixon tries to clinch there but Noble circles away.
Dixon slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Noble is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Dixon defends well.
Dixon passes Noble's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Dixon has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Dixon lands a nice shot to the head.

Dixon wants to control the pace but Noble is squirming around nicely.

Dixon takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Noble tries to hold on but Dixon postures up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Greg Dixon showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Noble's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!


Noble on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Reggie Noble is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Dixon looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Noble is fending him off so far but Dixon persists. Nope, Noble circles away and we're back to standing.
Dixon lands a jab-cross combination.

Dixon drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Dixon has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Dixon controlling from the top position.
Dixon looking to sit in guard and control but Noble gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Dixon is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Dixon stalling away here and it's allowed Noble to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
Noble is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Dixon missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Dixon must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Noble avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Dixon shoots in and drives through. Noble sprawls well.

Noble tries to keep at a distance but Dixon has taken the fight into the clinch.
Noble prevents a takedown attempt there.
Reggie Noble has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Greg Dixon.
Noble wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Dixon goes for a takedown attempt but Noble pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Noble is defended easily by Dixon.
A shot to the body from Noble misses

so Dixon counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Dixon stands and throws Noble's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Dixon is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Noble is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Noble is not content to let Dixon control the position.

Dixon has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Noble throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Dixon.

And that's the end of the fight!
Greg Dixon comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Dixon has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
