Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Professor Chaos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Curtis Sharp (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Professor Chaos !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Curtis Sharp!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Summer Carpenter and Donatello Bradman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sharp works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Sharp enables Chaos to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Sharp manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Sharp controls Chaos momentarily but Chaos frees himself.
Sharp seems keen to control Chaos 's posture.
Chaos missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Sharp is trying to control the position but Chaos postures up.
Chaos has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Curtis Sharp wasn't active enough on the ground.

Chaos dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage.

Chaos is nestled in close to Sharp, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Sharp is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Chaos wants to lay and pray for a moment but Sharp keeps working.

Sharp wants to get back to full guard.
Chaos thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Sharp's head.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
A big left from Sharp misses.
Chaos fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Sharp avoids it really well and circles away.
Chaos throws a hook but Sharp avoids it easily.
Curtis Sharp seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Chaos walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Chaos ducks under a wild hook from Sharp.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Sharp throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
A punch combination from Sharp misses.
Sharp tests Chaos 's chin there with a solid looking shot.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Professor Chaos dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Chaos tries to land a body kick
and Sharp counters with a nice body shot.
Nice takedown defense from Sharp. No joy for Chaos on that attempt.
Sharp wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Chaos dives in and grabs Sharp's left leg, looking for a takedown. Sharp pushes down on Chaos 's head and hops out.
Sharp misses with an uppercut.
Sharp stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Chaos throws out a loose jab but Sharp uses good head movement to avoid it.
Sharp dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Sharp lands a right hook to the body.
Chaos shoots in looking for a takedown but Sharp manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Chaos 's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Professor Chaos . That's going to take a lot out of him.
A combination from Sharp does no damage.

Sharp gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Sharp manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Sharp sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Chaos shoots in looking for a takedown. Sharp tries to sprawl out of it but Chaos keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Sharp manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Sharp pushes Chaos off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Sharp leaves Chaos with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Sharp misses with a looping left.
The fight stays on the outside here - Sharp looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Sharp shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.

Sharp connects with a leg kick. Chaos looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

and Chaos counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Sharp's guard now.
Chaos postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Sharp is adopting a defensive guard.
Sharp looking for a sweep. Not yet Sharp, not yet.
