Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Virgil Morgan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ludwig Manres (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Manres has chosen Aqualung - Jethro Tull as his entrance music. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Morgan with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Morgan misses with an uppercut

and Manres counters with a nice double leg into guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Morgan looking for a guillotine here but Manres defends easily.

Morgan had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Manres defends it easily.
Manres controls from within his opponent's guard.

Manres has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Morgan to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Manres is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Morgan pulls down on the head and he's put Manres to sleep! This one is all over!
