The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Columbo Gatti and Jorge Garcia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cousins shoots in and drives through. Beckett sprawls well.
Beckett lands with a shot to the body.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Beckett throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Cousins takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Cousins moves to clinch but Beckett breaks away
enabling Beckett to counter with a crisp jab.
Beckett tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Cousins was well out of range. Poor timing from Beckett.
Jeffrey Cousins has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Jim Beckett is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Beckett tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Cousins smiles and moves away.

Well Beckett has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
