Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Alphons Draclau (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zica Brava (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brava is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Chimaira - Nothing Remains. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brava misses with a body punch

and Draclau counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

Draclau is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Brava is refusing to be controlled, as Draclau sits in half guard.
Brava tries to roll over but Draclau keeps him under control.
Draclau wants to pass to mount but Brava is defending the position.
Draclau seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Brava does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Alphons Draclau has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Brava works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

Zica Brava seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Draclau shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Brava's guard.
Brava manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Brava tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Draclau wants to hold on but Brava pushes him away.
Draclau tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Draclau sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Draclau won't allow Brava to pass to mount.
Brava tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
Draclau gets full guard.
Brava wants to get up but he can't break Draclau's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Brava is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

Draclau is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Draclau tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Brava was well out of range. Poor timing from Draclau.
Draclau takes a jab right on the kisser.
Draclau takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

and Draclau counters with a nice low kick that buckles Brava's knee momentarily.

Brava swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Draclau closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Brava quickly recovers to half guard.
Brava is trying to stand up here but Draclau is controlling him well.
