Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between The Guy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Massimiliano Tormento (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Guy might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Old Spice Guy Intro. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Massimiliano Tormento!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, William Peck and Dillan Fox.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tormento checks the leg kick nicely there.
Tormento throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Guy drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Guy ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Tormento moves away.
Guy buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Guy is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Tormento.

and Tormento makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Tormento drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Tormento in side control, throwing shots but Guy defends.

Guy gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Tormento thows a huge punch but Guy dodges it nicely.

Guy is staying active underneath Tormento, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Tormento working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Tormento connects with a nice short shot to Guy's temple.

Tormento drops back, looking for a kneebar! Guy looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Guy looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Guy!

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Tormento has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Tormento and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Well Tormento has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
