The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hennessey takes the fight into the clinch.
Wiggin blocks an elbow strike from Hennessey.
Wiggin lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Hennessey goes for a takedown attempt but Wiggin pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Wiggin throws a series of punches but Hennessey avoids them all with ease.
Hennessey will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Wiggin connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

It looks like Martell Hennessey has been cut.
Wiggin lands a body punch.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Hennessey tries to land knees in the clinch but Wiggin avoids the damage to the body.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Wiggin creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Hennessey using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Wiggin has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Wiggin has Hennessey pressed against the cage. He pushes Hennessey back and as he springs towards him off the cage, Wiggin throws a beautiful elbow that sends Hennessey crashing to the floor! Wiggin piles on the pressure with more strikes! Hennessey is flailing away but he's not defending himself and the referee steps in to stop the fight!
