Ludher has chosen Shook Ones Part II - by Mobb Deep as his entrance music. The key to victory for Darren Lockyer has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Darren Lockyer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, David Ludher!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, George Francis and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lockyer cracks a nice hook into Ludher's ribs.
Lockyer keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Lockyer paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.


It looks like David Ludher has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Lockyer throws a lazy uppercut
and Ludher counters with a big head kick but Lockyer shrugs it off.
Lockyer uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Ludher.
Lockyer missing with a left hand there. Ludher was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Lockyer feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Ludher sprawling to the canvas! Ludher rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Lockyer finish him?!


Ludher is rocked!
Ludher displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Lockyer throws out the jab.
Lockyer comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Darren Lockyer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ludher swings for the body but Lockyer moves out of range.
Ludher misses with a two punch combination.

Lockyer cracks Ludher with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Lockyer has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Ludher to stand back up!
Ludher is still on wobbly legs! Can Lockyer finish him?
Both fighters step back and shake their arms out. Lockyer engages and cracks Ludher with a massive lead left hook - Ludher tumbles to the floor, out cold! What a shot! Lockyer is delighted - all that hard work in training paid off!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Darren Lockyer!
