The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from Hekkanen.
Hekkanen misses with a wild combination.
Fors throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Hekkanen lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Hekkanen avoids the head kick by Fors.
Fors slips a jab and a cross from Hekkanen.

Fors has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Hekkanen off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

and Fors makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
A nice inside leg kick there by Fors. That's going to slow Hekkanen down.
Hekkanen stuffs the takedown attempt from Fors. Fors gets slowly back to his feet.
Hekkanen misses with a two punch combination.
Hekkanen looks to land a combination but Fors avoids it well.
Hekkanen drops Fors with a nice combination! Hekkanen dives into Fors's guard, looking to finish!

Fors is rocked!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Hekkanen stands up and waves to Fors to follow him.

Fors seems to have recovered his senses.
Fors with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.

Hekkanen scores with a crisp jab that stopped Fors in his tracks.
No joy there for Hekkanen, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Hekkanen throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Fors has Hekkanen up against the cage in a clinch.
Fors lands a nice elbow from the clinch.
Fors has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Hekkanen is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Hekkanen is trying to break free.

Fors tightens his grip and picks Hekkanen up, before dumping him to the ground. Hekkanen manages to land in guard.

Fors decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Fors moves in looking to clinch but Hekkanen pushes him off.

Fors closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Hekkanen to the mat! Hekkanen manages to get full guard.

Fors dodges the punch combination from Hekkanen.
The fight stays on the outside here - Fors looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Fors walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Hekkanen swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Hekkanen throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Fors stumbling backwards into the cage! Fors bounces back off the cage towards Hekkanen, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Hekkanen lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Hekkanen celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.
