Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ricky Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Katsuo Takeda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Takeda has chosen Warrior Asylum by Disturbed as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Katsuo Takeda enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ricky Lee!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Katsuo Takeda!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Radbod Blank and Wagner Zegers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Takeda scores with a body shot.

Lee clinches.
Lee pressing his opponent against the cage.
Lee lands a nice knee to the body.
Lee taking a breather.
Lee lands an elbow just above Takeda 's eye.


It looks like Katsuo Takeda has been cut.
A head punch on the inside from Lee fails to land.
Takeda looking for a takedown.
Lee lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.

Lee gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Lee working some nice short punches in the clinch.

Lee tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Takeda wants to take the fight to the mat but Lee manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Lee scores with a nice hook to the head.
Takeda avoids the elbow strike from Lee, against the cage.
Takeda has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Lee avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Ricky Lee has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Katsuo Takeda.
Lee misses with a short punch on the inside.
Takeda blocks the elbow strike.
Takeda managing to block the knees to the body from Lee.
Lee has a couple of punches blocked by Takeda.

Takeda has Lee pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Lee manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Lee pushes Takeda back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Lee.
Lee scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Takeda takes an elbow to the temple.

Takeda wants the takedown. Lee is fighting it off but Takeda persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Lee's guard against the cage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Lee manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Takeda manages to get himself to full guard.

Takeda has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Lee can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Takeda working for a triangle but Lee defends it easily.
Takeda wants to hit a switch here but Lee passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Takeda there!
Takeda manages to regain half guard. Good work.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Takeda has a hand on Lee's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Lee takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!
Takeda sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
Takeda wants to improve his position but Lee is controlling well.
Takeda regains full guard. Nicely done.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Takeda has his hands on Lee's head, controlling the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Lee tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Lee takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Lee tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Takeda is able to avoid easily.
Lee checks the leg kick nicely there.
Takeda shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Lee sprawls well. Lee wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Takeda gets slowly back to his feet.
Lee clobbers Takeda with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Takeda connects with a good right hand that stumbles Lee. Lee circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Takeda throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
The fighters circling - Lee throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
A head kick misses from Lee.

Takeda shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Lee's guard.
Takeda postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Lee utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Takeda throwing strikes but missing.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Takeda accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Takeda cracks Lee with a solid left hand.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Takeda's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Takeda lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Lee preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Takeda throws an elbow that misses. Lee uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Takeda's guard. Nice move by Lee!
Takeda is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Takeda had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Lee defends it easily.

Takeda looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Lee got a little sloppy there for a moment and Takeda has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Lee has managed to get both his arms back between Takeda's legs - danger averted.
Takeda can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Lee controls the pace.

Takeda is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Takeda is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Lee is aware though and is defending well.

Takeda is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Takeda is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Lee knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Takeda on the ground.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Katsuo Takeda showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!


A slapping leg kick lands for Lee.
Lee throws a chopping leg kick but Takeda manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Lee explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Lee jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Lee's corner calls for a 1-2. Lee obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Lee tries a head kick but it misses.

Takeda feints and as Lee raises his hands in defense, Takeda changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Takeda has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Lee is working away from the top position though.
Takeda wants to improve his position but Lee is controlling well.
Lee is thwarting Takeda's attempts to control the position.

Takeda is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Lee jumps into side control!
Takeda tries to bench press Lee off him but Lee keeps the position.
Takeda trying his best to control but Lee has mounted him.
Takeda is wriggling around trying to escape.
Lee controlling the pace for now.

Takeda is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Takeda is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Takeda is in all sorts of trouble here.

And that's the end of the fight!
Katsuo Takeda comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Takeda has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
