Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sampsa Pikari (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joakim Hanseeni (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Joakim Hanseeni will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Sampsa Pikari!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Joakim Hanseeni!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Roosa Järviläinen and Marco Blurström.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pikari pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Pikari bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Pikari has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Pikari shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Hanseeni as he jumps to the side.
Pikari is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Hanseeni.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Hanseeni tries to clinch up but Pikari circles away and keeps his distance.
A nice leg kick lands there from Hanseeni.

Pikari changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Hanseeni looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Hanseeni tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Pikari wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Pikari creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Hanseeni sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Pikari shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Hanseeni pinned against the cage. Hanseeni gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
