The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sokoudjou changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. White looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
White tries to bench press Sokoudjou off him but Sokoudjou keeps the position.
Sokoudjou throwing shots but missing, from side control.
White tries to get back to half guard but can't.
White regains half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sokoudjou wants to pass the guard but White is defending well.
White is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

White is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Sokoudjou pulls his head out easily.
White tries to get to full guard but Sokoudjou has control of the leg.

White slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
Sokoudjou is keen to just control but White is a slippery customer.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now White is on top in guard.
Sokoudjou has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
