Concepcion comes into the arena with The Descent blaring out of the sound system. Angel Concepcion could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Nate Sorenson's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sorenson tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Concepcion counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Concepcion rushes Sorenson and presses him up against the cage.
Sorenson stops a takedown attempt from Concepcion.

Concepcion manages to break the clinch.
Sorenson uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Concepcion.

Concepcion clinches up with Sorenson and pushes him back against the cage.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Sorenson.
Sorenson just leaning against Concepcion, taking a breather.
Concepcion misses with a punch to the body.
Concepcion is trying to break the clinch but Sorenson has him pressed against the cage.
Sorenson pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.

Sorenson tries to land knees in the clinch but Concepcion avoids the damage to the body.

Concepcion breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Concepcion closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Sorenson has had enough of the clinch but Concepcion keeps him there for the moment.
Sorenson takes a shot to the head.
Concepcion can't break the clinch.
Concepcion misses with a punch to the body.
Sorenson throws a knee to the head but misses.
Sorenson tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Concepcion avoids it.
Concepcion prevents Sorenson from breaking the clinch.

Sorenson breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Concepcion lands a nice hook to Sorenson's body. Sorenson takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Concepcion throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.

Concepcion breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Concepcion wants to work for an arm triangle but Sorenson is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Oooooh, big shot lands for Concepcion! Sorenson is hurt baaadly! Concepcion is firing away with more strikes - Sorenson is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!
