Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rodrigo De Noteboom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Traktor Chain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chain tries to clinch up
and De Noteboom decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Chain's guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Chain wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and De Noteboom manages to pass to side control.
Chain is looking for a sweep. De Noteboom is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Chain makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Chain.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with De Noteboom in particular looking to stall.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
De Noteboom shoots in looking for a takedown. Chain tries to sprawl out of it but De Noteboom keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Chain manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
De Noteboom tries to score a power double leg takedown but Chain sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten De Noteboom somewhat.
De Noteboom avoids the head kick by Chain.
Chain tries to clinch up but De Noteboom circles away and keeps his distance.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and De Noteboom counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

A big shot lands for De Noteboom! That's hurt Chain! Will he recover? De Noteboom fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!
