Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jay Lazarus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Alson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lazarus comes to the cage accompanied by puso. The crowd seem to be enjoying Alson's choice of entrance music: Kasabian - Switchblade Smiles. Paul Alson is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Alson darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Alson thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Alson has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Alson might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Lazarus kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Alson is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Lazarus doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Alson.

Alson cracks Lazarus with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Oh Lazarus is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Post fight, Paul Alson stared into the camera and said 'I know i've lost a lot after such a promising start to my career and I am now announcing my retirement which will come into effect once my deal with the GFC is up.'.
