PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Temujin Black (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ting Yan Wang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Black comes to the cage accompanied by Dropkick murphys - drink and fight. Wang comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Minority - Green Day kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Black shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Black showed some decent athleticism there.
Wang manages to get to full guard.
Black wants to control from the top but Wang keeps moving.
Wang looking for a sweep. Not yet Wang, not yet.
Wang manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Black manages to get himself to full guard.

Black looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Wang has picked Black up and slammed him! Black can't keep hold of the triangle and Wang manages to pass to side control!

Wang is looking to take a break and control but Black is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Wang wants to take a breather but Black is having none of it.
Wang working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Black's thigh. Black counters though and makes it back to full guard.
Wang stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Black swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Wang passes Black's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Black tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.

Wang stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Black swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Ting Yan Wang wasn't active enough on the ground.
Black swings for the body but Wang moves out of range.
Black throws a lazy uppercut
and Wang counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Wang changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Black throws a jab when Wang was well out of range.
Black walks into a straight right hand from Wang.
Sloppy strikes from Black. Those never looked like landing.

Black fails to land with a series of punches.
Wang connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Wang takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

It looks like Ting Yan Wang has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Black lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Black rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Wang cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Wang looks to land a combination but Black avoids it well.
Wang misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Black.
Wang scores with a jab to the head.
Wang lands a right hook to the body.
Black lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Black throws a jab but it's blocked by Wang.
Wang dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Black displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Wang throws out the jab.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Ting Yan Wang will probably get the nod.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Wang connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Black momentarily.
Temujin Black is winning the standup battle so far.
A cross from Wang lands.
Black showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Wang.
Wang circles away from the clinch attempt.
A slapping body kick lands there for Wang.
Wang looks to land a left hand but Black moved out of range nicely.
Wang uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Black.
Black throws a front kick aimed at Wang's knee but Wang avoids it well.
Donk. Wang catches Black right on the button with a cross.
Black takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Black throws an off balance right hand
enabling Wang to counter with a crisp jab.
Wang scoring well with a low kick there.
Black takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

A nice leg kick lands there from Wang.
Wang jabs at Black's body.
Wang lands with an overhand left.
Wang swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Wang tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Black was well out of range. Poor timing from Wang.
A jab lands there for Wang.
Wang throws a series of punches but Black avoids them all with ease.
Wang misses with the combination.
Wang fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Black walks into a stiff left hand from Wang.
Wang ducks under a wild hook from Black.

Wang throws a hook to the side of Black's head but Black sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Wang fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Black.
Black waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Wang.
Wang scores with the left hand. Black knows he should have avoided that one.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Wang scores with a crisp jab that stopped Black in his tracks.
Wang takes a swing at Black's ribcage but misses.
Wang lands with an uppercut that bounces Black off the cage and back into range.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Wang, as that shot connected.
Black misses with a lunging right hand
and Wang counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Black is rocked!
Black walks into a straight right, dropping him to the canvas! Wang swarms him and finishes the fight with a hail of punches! What a brutal finish!
