Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Christopher Green (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sten Hammarschmed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, John Kavanagh and Russell Pearce.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Green misses with a takedown attempt

Green has his foot on Hammarschmed's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Hammarschmed works his way back into a safe position though.

Hammarschmed reaches up to try and control the position but Green seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Hammarschmed rolls and tries to escape and now Green has his back!

Green is trying to stick to Hammarschmed's back but Hammarschmed is turning into Green. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Green's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Hammarschmed.

and Hammarschmed counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Green throws a head kick that misses.
Green shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Hammarschmed connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Sten Hammarschmed showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Well Hammarschmed has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
