The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cabbat takes the fight into the clinch.

It looks like Cru Jones has been cut.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Jones.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Jones is looking to control Cabbat's arms but Cabbat gets an underhook and turns him. Now Jones has his back to the cage.

Jones shoots in for a takedown but Cabbat shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Jones keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Cabbat's head.

Cabbat bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Jones's guard.

Jones working for a triangle but Cabbat defends it easily.
Cabbat pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Jones is keeping the position for now.
Cabbat might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Jones is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Jones has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Cabbat is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Jones.

Cabbat wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Jones, who protects the arm well.

Cabbat has an Americana. Jones didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Cabbat is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Cabbat hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
