The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Scallywags takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Stack looks to land a right hand but Scallywags moved out of range.
Stack throws a poor cross that misses
and Scallywags counters with a straight right hand.
Horrible takedown by Stack or perhaps it was just good defense by Scallywags which made him look bad.
Scallywags ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Scallywags defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Stack.
Stack doesn't manage to clinch there - Scallywags circles away.
Stack looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Stack misses with a body kick.

Stack closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Scallywags did well to prevent Stack getting side control.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Stack landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Scallywags is looking to control Stack's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Scallywags avoid being mounted?
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Stack connects with a nice short shot to Scallywags's temple.
Stack drops an elbow to the side of Scallywags's head.
Scallywags knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Stack on the ground.
Stack throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Stack is looking to advance position but Scallywags won't allow it.
Stack lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
