The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Robert Twigg and Chris Downing.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fortt misses with an uppercut.
Coughlin shoots for a double leg takedown but Fortt sprawls well. He's pushed Coughlin's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Fortt keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Coughlin.
Fortt lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Coughlin fails in his attempt to clinch.
Coughlin misses with a low kick.
Coughlin misses with a straight left.
Nice shot by Fortt.
Fortt lands with a hook. Coughlin tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Fortt has closed the distance and engaged Coughlin in a clinch.

Coughlin misses with a knee to the head.
Fortt misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Coughlin tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Fortt's elbow.
Fortt can't find room to land a body shot as Coughlin controls the action.
Coughlin lands a good knee to the midsection. Fortt won't want to take too many of those.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Coughlin.
Coughlin misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Coughlin misses with a punch to the body.
Coughlin has a couple of punches blocked by Fortt.

Fortt pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Coughlin throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Coughlin throws the left hand but Fortt avoids the punch easily.
Fortt's corner calls for a 1-2. Fortt obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Coughlin uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Fortt.

Coughlin ducks under a wild hook from Fortt.

Fortt closes the distance and clinches.

Fortt lands a takedown into guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Coughlin looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Fortt engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Fortt slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Coughlin tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Fortt wants to lay and pray for a moment but Coughlin keeps working.

Coughlin wants to improve his position, back to half guard but Fortt has ideas of his own. He's got hold of Coughlin's far side arm and it looks like he's got an Americana. Ohh! Ohhhh! OOOOOOOOOH! A human being's arm is not meant to bend like that! Coughlin is tapping like a morse code operator on the Titanic! SOS SOS! He's out of here! Great win for Fortt!
