Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Charlie Meyers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sweaty Mullins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Charlie Meyers!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Sweaty Mullins!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, David Schapiro and Jonathan Paton.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Meyers throws a sloppy head kick and Mullins moves out of range easily.
Mullins tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Meyers manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Meyers shoots for a double leg takedown but Mullins sprawls well. He's pushed Meyers's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Meyers drives through with a takedown into Mullins's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Mullins seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Meyers uses his free foot to push down on Mullins's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Mullins.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Meyers goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Mullins is on top in guard.

Meyers working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Mullins doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Mullins manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Mullins looking to sit in guard and control but Meyers gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Meyers drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Meyers jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Mullins not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Mullins is looking to stand up but Meyers isn't so interested in that idea.
Meyers forces his way into half guard.
Mullins is trying to get back to full guard.

Meyers is looking for a kimura but Mullins is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Meyers to get the leverage.
Meyers is keen to just control but Mullins is a slippery customer.
Meyers trying to mount his opponent but Mullins defends it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Mullins is looking for a sweep. Meyers is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Meyers wants to take a breather but Mullins is having none of it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Charlie Meyers dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Meyers shoots in but no luck this time.
Mullins tries to clinch up.

Meyers looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Mullins is fending him off so far but Meyers persists. Nope, Mullins circles away and we're back to standing.

Mullins tries to close the distance and clinch but Meyers swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Mullins fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Meyers to the ground. Mullins is now in Meyers's guard.

Meyers escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Mullins gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Meyers keeping full guard, as Mullins tries to pass.

Meyers has control of Mullins's left arm, preventing Mullins from doing any damage.

Meyers is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Mullins defends well.

Meyers has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Mullins should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Meyers has tightened it up now! Mullins should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
