The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bendtner fails with the takedown.
Bendtner drops his hands momentarily and McGrady takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
McGrady takes a swing at Bendtner's ribcage but misses.
Bendtner shoots in and drives through. McGrady sprawls well.
McGrady displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Bendtner.

McGrady sizes up Bendtner with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

McGrady fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Bendtner manages to avoid it.

McGrady moves into range and clinches up with Bendtner.
Bendtner blocks the elbow strike.

Bendtner is trying to work for a single leg takedown but McGrady pulls him back up using the underhooks.

McGrady is fighting off a takedown attempt but Bendtner is just too persistent for him and manages to trip McGrady to the mat. McGrady regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Bendtner wants to control from the top but McGrady keeps moving.
Bendtner is really struggling to control McGrady but he's trying to hold on to the position.
Bendtner stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. McGrady swivels though and keeps the full guard.
McGrady controls Bendtner momentarily but Bendtner frees himself.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if McGrady can do anything to dispel that myth.

Bendtner is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Bendtner is rocked!
McGrady lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Bendtner up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs McGrady from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Bendtner's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.
