Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between SergiO Ortiz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jan Dudek (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ortiz comes to the cage accompanied by Mortal Kombat Theme - HD. Dudek is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by ASTRAL PROJECTION - Mahadeva . Jan Dudek has the eye of the tiger tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Ortiz, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Dudek lands a nice leg kick that just misses Ortiz's sensitive parts.
Ortiz lands a nice hook to Dudek's body. Dudek takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
SergiO Ortiz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dudek avoids a kick to the body.
Dudek wants to slow Ortiz down by chopping away at his legs.

Dudek pushes Ortiz up against the cage in a clinch.

Ortiz gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Dudek is pulling down on Ortiz's head. It's preventing any offense from Ortiz, at least for the moment.
Dudek's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Jan Dudek hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Ortiz throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Dudek avoids the head kick by Ortiz.
A looping hook to the body misses from Dudek. Ortiz does a little dance to reset his feet.
Dudek paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Dudek will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Ortiz scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Dudek keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Ortiz is keen to just control but Dudek is a slippery customer.
Dudek is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ortiz is working for an americana but Dudek has been sneaky and has managed to get back to half guard, whilst Ortiz was thinking about the submission.
Ortiz lands a couple of elbows.

Ortiz trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Ortiz postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Dudek is trying to keep Ortiz in close.
Ortiz stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dudek swivels though and keeps the full guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Ortiz postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that SergiO Ortiz will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Ortiz takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

Ortiz lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Good exchange - Ortiz coming out on top.
Ortiz sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Dudek goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Dudek stalks Ortiz and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Ortiz's face. Ortiz staggers backwards, shaken.

Dudek drops Ortiz with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Ortiz looks back up at him and smiles so Dudek waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Ortiz is rocked!

Oh Ortiz is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Ortiz moves forwards but Dudek connects with a nice, crisp jab.

and Dudek makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Dudek cracks Ortiz with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Ortiz tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Dudek pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Ortiz is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:31 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jan Dudek! Jan Dudek retains his light heavyweight title!
