The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Trout just misses with a punch to the body.
Trout misses with a low kick.

Trout darts in and clinches Soderberg up against the ropes.
Trout has a couple of punches blocked by Soderberg.
Soderberg is looking to break free of the clinch but Trout has double underhooks.
A body shot lands from Trout.
Trout throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Soderberg misses with a hook to the ribs.
Trout pushes off an throws an elbow but Soderberg leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the ropes.
Trout tries to land knees in the clinch but Soderberg avoids the damage to the body.
Soderberg cracks Trout with a nice body shot.

Soderberg tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Trout's elbow.
Soderberg tries to work over Trout's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Soderberg pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Trout throws the kick towards the body but Soderberg avoids it.
Trout tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Soderberg throws the left hand but Trout avoids the punch easily.
Soderberg just misses with a punch to the body.

Trout thows a left - swing and a miss!
Soderberg throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Trout on the side of the head.
Kilgore Trout is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Trout keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Trout enables Soderberg to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Trout manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Soderberg thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Soderberg pushes down on Trout's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Soderberg is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

Trout wants to control but Soderberg is having none of it.
Soderberg can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Trout is looking to escape.
Trout is in all sorts of trouble here.

Soderberg has control of Trout's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Trout regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Trout is trying to defend against the choke here but Soderberg has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. Soderberg Tightens the hold and Trout taps out furiously! Soderberg displays superior BJJ to win the fight.
