The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Trudeau.
Some wild striking there from Wiley.
Wiley lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

Wiley shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Trudeau's guard.

Wiley decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Trudeau is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Wiley drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Trudeau dives on top into guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Trudeau stands up over Wiley, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Wiley is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Trudeau distracts Wiley with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Wiley working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Trudeau doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Trudeau manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Wiley wants to control from the top but Trudeau keeps moving.
Wiley throws an elbow that misses. Trudeau uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Wiley's guard. Nice move by Trudeau!

Trudeau seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Trudeau is working to tighten is grip on Wiley's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Wiley has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Trudeau is really squeezing tight and eventually Wiley passes out! Trudeau breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
