The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Speed misses with an uppercut. Hawke saw that one coming.

Speed darts in and clinches Hawke up against the cage.

Speed tries to land a knee to the head but Hawke blocks with his arms.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Hawke. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

Nice takedown defense from Speed. No joy for Hawke on that attempt.
Speed rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Hawke counters with a left and a right that stings Speed.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Hawke takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Speed throws a head kick but Hawke moves out of range.

Speed moves into the clinch successfully.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.
Hawke jumps guard but Speed stands there with Hawke around his waist. Hawke gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Hawke tries to pull guard but Speed holds him up against the cage and eventually Hawke drops back down to his feet.

Hawke shoots in looking for a takedown but Speed manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Hawke's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
