And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Micky Mcgarry!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Steven Brown and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mcgarry is trying to pull guard but Francis Colon has him pressed against the cage.

Mcgarry is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Reginald Francis Colon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Micky Mcgarry.

Mcgarry tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Francis Colon smiles and moves away.
Mcgarry closes this distance looking for a takedown but Francis Colon circles away.

Francis Colon moves into range and clinches up with Mcgarry.

Mcgarry has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Francis Colon is trying to keep an underhook but Mcgarry manages to get the takedown into half guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Francis Colon is defending against the submission attempts here by Mcgarry.

Mcgarry is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Francis Colon is just riding it out for now. Mcgarry eventually gives up the hold.

Francis Colon is in trouble now - Mcgarry has advanced to mount!

Francis Colon is desperately trying to improve his position but Mcgarry has a good base and remains in mount.

Mcgarry goes for an armbar but Francis Colon turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Francis Colon.
Mcgarry looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Mcgarry bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Francis Colon's guard.

Mcgarry drops back, looking for a kneebar! Francis Colon looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Francis Colon looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Francis Colon!

Francis Colon decides to stand back up.

Mcgarry tries for a takedown but Francis Colon circles away easily
and Francis Colon counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Francis Colon fakes the leg kick and cracks Mcgarry in the body.

Francis Colon moves into the clinch.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Mcgarry goes for a takedown in the clinch but Francis Colon prevents it.
Francis Colon's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Reginald Francis Colon will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Mcgarry blocks an elbow strike from Francis Colon.
Francis Colon tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Mcgarry avoids it.

Mcgarry tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Mcgarry tightens his grip and picks Francis Colon up, before dumping him to the ground. Francis Colon manages to land in guard.

Mcgarry is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Mcgarry has gone for a leg lock! Francis Colon slips out almost immediately though and dives into Mcgarry's guard.
Francis Colon won't allow Mcgarry to sweep him here.

Mcgarry has his foot on Francis Colon's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Francis Colon works his way back into a safe position though.

Francis Colon wanted to stand there but Mcgarry had control of the position.

Mcgarry working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Francis Colon doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Francis Colon manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Mcgarry is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Francis Colon frees his head nicely. Oh but Mcgarry has switched to an armbar! Francis Colon is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
