And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Akihito Tatsuhiko Jr!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Damien Edna and Summer Carpenter.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tatsuhiko Jr misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Tatsuhiko Jr throws an off balance right hand
letting Peter counter with a right hand.


It looks like Akihito Tatsuhiko Jr has been cut.
Tatsuhiko Jr lands a head kick!
Peter thows a body shot but no joy.
Peter doesn't manage to clinch there - Tatsuhiko Jr circles away.
Tatsuhiko Jr explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Peter misses with a hook. Tatsuhiko Jr ducked under it nicely.
Tatsuhiko Jr throws a nice inside leg kick.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Peter throws an overhand right that lands on Tatsuhiko Jr's shoulder, as Tatsuhiko Jr tries to avoid the shot.
Tatsuhiko Jr walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Peter checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Akihito Tatsuhiko Jr seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Tatsuhiko Jr ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Tatsuhiko Jr throws a push kick but Peter slaps the foot to one side.

and Tatsuhiko Jr counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Peter ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Tatsuhiko Jr moves away.

Tatsuhiko Jr throws a leg kick which misses Peter's front leg but catches the back leg as Peter tries to avoid it.
Peter fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Tatsuhiko Jr avoids it really well and circles away.

Peter is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Tatsuhiko Jr gets his way!
Peter manages to reverse the position and now he's in Tatsuhiko Jr's guard. Nice work there by Peter.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Tatsuhiko Jr is on top in guard.
Tatsuhiko Jr is pushing down on Peter's leg trying to pass to half guard. Peter is fighting to maintain full guard but Tatsuhiko Jr has managed to sneak the leg through.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Peter tries to roll over but Tatsuhiko Jr keeps him under control.

Tatsuhiko Jr has hold of Peter's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Peter seems comfortable defending it but Tatsuhiko Jr has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Peter is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Peter is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Tatsuhiko Jr couldn't care less - he's delighted!
