Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jermaine Choake (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Super Hans (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Choake kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Hans Zimmer - The Kraken. Hans has chosen Hans being Hans as his entrance music. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jermaine Choake!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Super Hans!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Winston Howard and Steve Erwin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A swing and a miss from Choake.

Choake looking to score a takedown here. Hans is defending well but Choake drives through and ends up in Hans's guard.
Choake postures up.
Choake trying to control but Hans is working from the bottom.
Choake slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Choake wants to pass the guard but Hans is keeping the position.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Hans misses with a body kick.

Hans tries a head kick but it misses.
Choake misses with a wild body shot.

Hans gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Hans is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Choake is keeping busy.
Hans is working Choake over against the cage.

Hans lands a left hand that snaps the head of Choake backwards.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.

Choake turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Choake manages to end up in side control.
Hans is trying to control Choake's posture but Choake avoids it.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Choake is looking to take a break and control but Hans is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Choake goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Hans has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Choake but great work by Hans.

Hans is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Hans is refusing to be controlled, as Choake sits in half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hans wants to control but Choake is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Choake looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Hans with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Hans is trying to control but Choake manages to pass to mount!

Hans is wriggling around trying to escape.
Poor strikes thrown by Choake there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Hans is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Choake tries to control but Hans wriggling away.
Choake landing strikes, looking to finish!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Choake with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

Hans tries to land a front kick but Choake steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Choake tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Hans was well out of range. Poor timing from Choake.
Choake rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Hans counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Choake is lucky that one didn't land flush.

Choake swings for the body but Hans moves out of range.
Choake takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

Choake darts in and clinches Hans up against the cage.
Hans gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Choake.

Choake has Hans pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Hans manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Choake has clasped his hands together around Hans's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.

Hans sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Choake stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hans swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Jermaine Choake just wasn't active enough.

Choake shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Choake uses his free foot to push down on Hans's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Hans.
Choake throwing strikes here but Hans is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.

Choake has hold of Hans's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Hans manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Nice sprawl there from Hans as Choake shoots in.
Hans tries a head kick but it misses.
Hans throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Hans takes a body punch but keeps moving.
A slapping leg kick lands for Hans.
Hans uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Choake.
The fighters circle momentarily. Hans darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Choake throws a lazy right hand but Hans sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Choake looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Hans!

Hans stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Hans wants it to stay on the feet.

Choake fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Hans manages to avoid it.

Choake shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Hans but Hans pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Hans pivots, looking for a leg kick but Choake is out of range and Hans settles back down.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Hans lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Choake has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Choake and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Super Hans dominated that fourth round.
That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!


No luck with that takedown attempt from Choake.
Super Hans seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Choake manages to get to full guard.
Choake is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Choake's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
