Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Scott Banks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anzor Greene (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Anzor Greene is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Scott Banks!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Anzor Greene!
The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Banks connects with a jab.
Banks throws a lazy uppercut

and Greene counters with a takedown into side control.
Banks is looking for a sweep.
Banks regains half guard, as Greene was trying to land strikes.
Banks is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Greene's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Greene's back!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
A bit of a pause in the action here. Banks controlling the positon.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Greene is trying to break free.
Greene looking very determined here, making life difficult for Banks.
Banks is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.

Banks is trying to stick to Greene's back but Greene is turning into Banks. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Banks's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Greene.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Scott Banks wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Greene swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Greene feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Greene tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Banks swivels and escapes.
Greene takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Banks throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Greene sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Greene shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Banks sprawls well. Banks wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Greene gets slowly back to his feet.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Greene tries to move into range but Banks moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Banks looks to land a left hand but Greene moved out of range nicely.
Banks connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Greene momentarily.

Greene slips a jab and a cross from Banks.
Banks looks to score with a jab to the body but Greene is just out of range.
Greene throws a nice looking combination but Banks bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Banks lands a really nice looking cross but Greene seems unphased.

and Greene counters with a series of strikes that sends Banks to the canvas! Greene follows down into guard, looking to finish the fight!

Banks on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Banks tries to get out of the position.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Banks is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Greene looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Banks is fending him off so far but Greene persists. Nope, Banks circles away and we're back to standing.
Greene throws a right and a left that both miss.

Greene shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Banks but Banks pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Greene fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Banks avoids it really well and circles away.

Banks stuns Greene with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

Greene looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Banks throws a lazy right hand but Greene sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Banks stuffs the takedown attempt from Greene. Greene gets slowly back to his feet.
Banks lands with a good body shot.
Greene seems to have recovered his senses.
Banks throws a poor cross that misses
and Greene counters with a two punch combo.
Greene looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

Banks closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Greene! Banks dives in looking to finish! Greene is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:31 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Scott Banks!
