The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Asztalos fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Jonsson looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

It looks like Erik Jonsson has been cut.
Erik Jonsson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jonsson doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Asztalos counters with a straight right hand.
Jonsson tries to score a power double leg takedown but Asztalos sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Jonsson somewhat.

Jonsson changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Asztalos looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Jonsson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
