The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, James Ackerman and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Karakantes will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
McGarry throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Karakantes tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. McGarry is in Karakantes's guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Karakantes wants to sweep here but McGarry controlling him for the moment.
McGarry passes into half guard.
Karakantes is looking to improve his position.
Karakantes keeps control of the position for the meantime.
Karakantes is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
McGarry looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
McGarry will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
McGarry stops Karakantes from getting back to his feet.

McGarry wants to pass to mount but Karakantes is defending the position.
McGarry is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Karakantes sees it coming and defends easily.
McGarry prevents Karakantes from standing back up.
McGarry passes to side control.
Karakantes is trying to get back to half guard.
McGarry has hold of Karakantes's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Karakantes seems comfortable defending it but McGarry has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Karakantes is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Karakantes is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but McGarry couldn't care less - he's delighted!
