Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sho Shinjo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jorn Anthriel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shinjo comes into the arena with Theme of Sho blaring out of the sound system. Sho Shinjo has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Thiago Cunha and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Anthriel stuffs the takedown.
Anthriel clinches up against the cage.
Shinjo drops down looking for an ankle pick but Anthriel pulls his leg out and moves away.
Shinjo walks into a stiff left hand from Anthriel.
Anthriel throws a looping overhand right but Shinjo ducks down to avoid it.
Anthriel getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Anthriel throws a hook to the side of Shinjo's head but Shinjo sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Anthriel avoids the head kick by Shinjo.
Anthriel moves into range and clinches up with Shinjo.
Shinjo tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Shinjo tries a body shot but Anthriel blocks it.

Anthriel throws a punch but it's blocked by Shinjo.

Anthriel swings wildly with an uppercut but Shinjo uses good head movement to avoid it.

The referee calls for Anthriel to work.
Anthriel lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Shinjo backwards.
Anthriel misses with a short punch on the inside.
Anthriel is looking to control Shinjo's arms but Shinjo gets an underhook and turns him. Now Anthriel has his back to the cage.
Shinjo has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Anthriel after a bit of a struggle.
Shinjo goes for a takedown attempt but Anthriel pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Anthriel cracks Shinjo with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Anthriel holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Shinjo tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.

Anthriel wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Shinjo.

Shinjo has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Anthriel is wriggling around trying to escape.
Shinjo takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Anthriel is desperately trying to improve his position but Shinjo has a good base and remains in mount.
Anthriel tries to hold on but Shinjo postures up.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Shinjo goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Anthriel is on top in guard.
Anthriel wanted to stand there but Shinjo had control of the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jorn Anthriel dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Shinjo throws a head kick but Anthriel moves out of range.
Shinjo moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Sho Shinjo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Anthriel digs a good hook to Shinjo's body.
Shinjo takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Shinjo.
Anthriel stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Anthriel gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Shinjo works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Anthriel wants to control but Shinjo is keeping busy.

Shinjo prevents Anthriel from standing back up.
Anthriel has one foot on Shinjo's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Some wild striking there from Shinjo.
Anthriel throws a lazy uppercut
and Shinjo counters with a takedown into side control.

Sho Shinjo overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Shinjo misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Shinjo goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Anthriel has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Shinjo but great work by Anthriel.
Anthriel has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Anthriel feints a jab promting Shinjo to slip. Anthriel then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Shinjo slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Anthriel ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Shinjo moves away.
Shinjo misses the jab.
Anthriel stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Shinjo.
Anthriel wants to clinch up but Shinjo keeps it at a distance.
Shinjo shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Anthriel as he avoids it easily.

Anthriel defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Shinjo.

Anthriel lands a really nice looking cross but Shinjo seems unphased.
Anthriel throws the left hand but Shinjo avoids the punch easily.
Shinjo shoots in looking for a takedown but Anthriel manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Shinjo's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Shinjo fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Anthriel has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Shinjo throws a head kick but Anthriel moves out of range.
Shinjo shoots in for a double leg but Anthriel sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Shinjo changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Anthriel tries to avoid it but Shinjo manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Anthriel to the ground. Anthriel escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Jorn Anthriel will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Shinjo wants to finish this one by submission but Anthriel is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Shinjo.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Sho Shinjo.
I think Anthriel has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
