Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Peter Knapp (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Swanson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Knapp kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Chevelle - The Red. Swanson is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by I Don't Know. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Knapp jabs Swanson to the body, keeping him at a distance.

Swanson throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Knapp tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Swanson is in Knapp's guard.
Swansonis looking to pass into half guard but Knapp pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Knapp is in guard.
Knapp controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

Swanson looking for a guillotine here but Knapp defends easily.
Knapp seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Peter Knapp just wasn't active enough.
Knapp darts in and out, connecting with a jab.

Knapp scores with a decent looking hook.

Swanson misses with a wild combination.
Knapp takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Swanson takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Swanson takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Swanson darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Peter Knapp is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Swanson lands a right hook to the body.
Knapp avoids the body shot from Swanson.
Knapp lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
A slapping leg kick lands for Knapp.

Knapp wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Peter Knapp seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Knapp fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Swanson has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Swanson looks gassed!
Knapp thuds his shin into the meat of Swanson's side.

Knapp scores with a head kick.
Knapp fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Swanson tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Knapp jabs Swanson right on the nose. Swanson blinks but takes it well.

Knapp drops Swanson with a beautiful combination! Swanson stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Knapp is looking for the KO!

Swanson is rocked!
Knapp drops a shoulder and throws a monster hook that connects perfectly to the side of Swanson's head, knocking him out cold! Knapp is extatic as he celebrates with his cornermen.
