Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rip James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kzarik Nahrul (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). James's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, The Ultimatum. Rip James has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 40 - 27 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Rip James!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kzarik Nahrul!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Chris Downing and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
James misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Nahrul misses with a head kick.
James avoids the head kick by Nahrul.

James shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Nahrul napping and manages to drive through into side control!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
James is looking to take a break and control but Nahrul is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Nahrul is not content to let James control the position.
Nahrul is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
James perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

James misses with a head shot. Nahrul uses the momentum to regain guard.
James throws a strike but Nahrul rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Nahrul wants to control from the top but James keeps moving.
Nahrul stays in close to James's body and controls the position.

James manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Nahrul manages to get himself to full guard.

James stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Nahrul swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Nahrul wants to sweep but no luck.
James has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

James drops back, looking for a kneebar! Nahrul looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Nahrul looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Nahrul!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Nahrul trying to control the position but James is working away.
James is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Nahrul off and has taken his back!

That's four minutes gone in the round.

James is striking well from the back but Nahrul escapes and manages to control the positon and works his way to half guard. A much better position - the crisis is over for the time being.
Nahrul wants to control the action here but instead James manages to pass to full mount!
Nahrul really doesn't want to stay on the ground with James. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
James can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Nahrul is looking to escape.
James sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

It looks like Kzarik Nahrul has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
James lands a big elbow.


That has opened up Kzarik Nahrul's cut even more.
Oooooh, big shot lands for James! Nahrul is hurt baaadly! James is firing away with more strikes - Nahrul is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Rip James!
