These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blaze misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Imanari.
Blaze throws a body kick, spinning off balance
and Imanari cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Blaze throws a body kick that misses.
Imanari shoots in but Blaze avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Imanari throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Blaze tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Imanari is in Blaze's guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Blaze wants to stand and escape but Imanari is having none of it.
Imanari trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Imanari wants to pass the guard but Blaze is keeping the position.
Imanari wants to control from the top but Blaze keeps moving.
Blaze utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Blaze stuffs the takedown attempt from Imanari. Imanari gets slowly back to his feet.
Blaze keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Imanari shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Blaze sprawls well. Blaze wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Imanari gets slowly back to his feet.

Blaze misses with an uppercut. Imanari saw that one coming.
Imanari throws a chopping leg kick but Blaze manages to avoid taking any serious damage.

Blaze stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Blaze wants it to stay on the feet.

and Blaze counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Imanari thinking.
Blaze slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Blaze just misses with a punch to the body.
Blaze thuds a left hand into Imanari's body.
Imanari misses with a kick to the body.
Blaze misses with a low kick.
Blaze takes a swing at Imanari's ribcage but misses.
Imanari avoids the body shot from Blaze.
Imanari ducks under a wild hook from Blaze.
Blaze moves out of range as Imanari throws a body kick.
Imanari looks for a takedown but Blaze sprawls well.

Blaze scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Imanari avoids a kick to the body.

Oooooh!!! Blaze has knocked Imanari down with a huge combo! Blaze steps away and waves a wobbly Imanari back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
