Jones comes to the cage accompanied by Doctor Jones. Hickock has chosen Turn me on Mr Deadman as his entrance music. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the middleweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Richard Hickock!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, John Kavanagh and Joseph Jones.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hickock throws a leg kick but Jones checks it.
Hickock thows a left - swing and a miss!
Hickock connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Hickock checks the leg kick.
Jones throws a body kick despite being completely out of range
and Hickock counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Jones, right into the meat.
Jones throws a shot from downtown. Hickock moves away and avoids it.
Jones lands a nice shot to the body.
Hickock moves in looking to clinch but Jones pushes him off.
Hickock wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Jones sizes up Hickock with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Hickock is looking to chop away at Jones's legs.

Jones gets a double leg takedown into Hickock's guard.
Hickock is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Jones accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Jones lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Jones chips away with some ground and pound.
Jones loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Jones makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Hickock looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Jones puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Jones is controlling the pace.
Hickock has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Jones is working away from the top position though.

Hickock really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jones. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Jones can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Hickock is looking to escape.
Jones avoids the attempt from Hickock to control.

Hickock tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Hickock is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Jones tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Hickock taking shots to the head.
Jones is landing with some decent strikes but Hickock is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Hickock is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Jones landing strikes from the mount and Hickock is in trouble!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jones scoring with strikes but Hickock is staying in there.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Hickock is squirming around, avoiding Jones's attempts to control the action.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Jones cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Hickock is still in real trouble! Can Jones finish him?
Jones controlling from mount.
Jones loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Hickock scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Jones land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Jones stands and salutes the crowd.
