The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kermode fails in his attempt to clinch.
Putin throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Putin connects with the punch.

It looks like Mayo Kermode has been cut.
Kermode tries to bum rush Putin with a series of wild strikes but Putin uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Kermode tries to close the distance and clinch but Putin swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Putin tries a head kick but it misses.
Putin throws a body punch but Kermode moves out of range.

Kermode rushes Putin and presses him up against the cage.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Kermode obliges.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Putin drags the fight down to the ground.

Putin looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Kermode wants to control from the top but Putin keeps moving.

Putin throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

Putin has his foot on Kermode's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Kermode works his way back into a safe position though.

Kermode has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Putin to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Kermode is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Putin pulls down on the head and he's put Kermode to sleep! This one is all over!
