The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Bubba.

Santoro shoots in and gets a takedown into Bubba's guard.

Santoro thows a huge punch but Bubba dodges it nicely.

Santoro is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Santoro is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Bubba defends it well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Santoro connects with a nice short shot to Bubba's temple.
Santoro tries to pass the half guard into mount. Bubba knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Well, if Santoro is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Santoro wants to take a breather but Bubba is having none of it.
Bubba is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Santoro scores with a couple of nice shots.

Santoro looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Santoro wants to take a breather but Bubba is having none of it.

Santoro moves into full mount! Bubba won't be happy about that!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Santoro lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

The cut above Hubba Bubba's eye is starting to cause him problems now.

Hubba Bubba's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Hubba Bubba's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
