Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bob Chong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alpo Suhonen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chong kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is I SHOT THE SHERIFF. Suhonen has chosen Ihanaa leijonat, ihanaa! as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Paulsen Ambrosius and Aafke Stam.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Suhonen connects with a body shot that sends Chong's belly button to the back.

Chong closes the distance and pushes Suhonen back into the cage.
Suhonen lands with a light punch inside.
Chong scores a nice knee to the body.

Chong pulls guard successfully.
Suhonen wants to control from the top but Chong keeps moving.

Chong rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Suhonen moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Chong.
Chong uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Suhonen.
Suhonen feints and then cracks Chong's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Chong down.
Bob Chong is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Chong connects with a body shot that sends Suhonen's belly button to the back.
Suhonen changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Suhonen avoids a kick to the body.
Chong stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Suhonen.
Chong throws a low kick but it's checked well by Suhonen.

Suhonen has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

Chong gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.

Chong fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Suhonen has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Chong with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Chong is looking to wear down Suhonen with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Nice straight punches there by Chong. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Chong.
Chong throws a body kick that misses.
Chong connects with a leg kick. Suhonen looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Suhonen walks forward, straight into a front kick from Chong.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Chong ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Chong fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Suhonen looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Chong darts in and clinches Suhonen up against the cage.
The referee calls for Chong to work.
Chong lands a nice knee to the body.
Chong lands an elbow that stopped Suhonen in his tracks for a moment.

Chong breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Suhonen takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
A head kick misses from Chong.
Chong scores with a hook to the body. Suhonen takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Suhonen shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Chong defends it nicely.
Chong scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.

Chong gets a clinch.
Chong misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Suhonen.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Suhonen is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Chong gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Chong gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Suhonen.
Bob Chong has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alpo Suhonen.
Suhonen blocks the elbow strike.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Crunch! Chong slams his shin into Suhonen's torso.

Suhonen fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Chong manages to avoid it.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Chong fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Chong takes a swing at Suhonen's ribcage but misses.
Chong ducks under a wild hook from Suhonen.
Chong throws a nice inside leg kick.
Suhonen is breathing heavily.

Suhonen tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Chong scoring well with a low kick there.
Chong wants to land a leg kick but Suhonen is out of range.

Chong cracks Suhonen with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Suhonen looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Chong finish him?

Suhonen is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Suhonen gets tagged by a hook that puts him to sleep! Chong points and yells something to his unconcious foe before strutting off. Suhonen wakes up just in time to hear Chong thank his coaches in the post fight interview.
