The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Chad Campbell and Columbo Gatti.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Crowe throws a body punch but Conolly moves out of range.
Crowe throws a series of punches but Conolly moves out of range.
A clash of legs there as Conolly blocks the low kick.
Crowe misses with a looping right.
Crowe scores with the left hand. Conolly knows he should have avoided that one.
Crowe is looking to chop away at Conolly's legs.
Crowe throws a looping overhand right but Conolly ducks down to avoid it.

Crowe scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Crowe wants to lay and pray for a moment but Conolly keeps working.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Conolly stops Crowe from passing to mount.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Crowe clinches up with Conolly and pushes him back against the cage.

Crowe swings away with an uppercut that misses.

Crowe gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Conolly regains guard.
Crowe throws an elbow that misses. Conolly uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Crowe's guard. Nice move by Conolly!

Crowe pulls Conolly in close to prevent any damage.
Crowe is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Conolly lands a couple of digs.
Crowe wants to hit a switch here but Conolly passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Crowe there!
Crowe is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Conolly has hold of Crowe's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Crowe manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Crowe knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Conolly on the ground.

Crowe tries to reverse the position but Conolly maintains control.

Conolly wants to finish this one by submission but Crowe is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Conolly.

Crowe tries to reverse the position but Conolly maintains control.
Conolly sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

It looks like Stanton Crowe has been cut.

Crowe is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Conolly swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Crowe is now in Conolly's guard. A big mistake from Conolly there, giving up the dominant position!
Crowe might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Crowe drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Conolly dives on top into guard.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Crowe is on top in guard.

That was a close second round but I would say that Stanton Crowe will probably get the nod.

Crowe closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Crowe throws a punch but it's blocked by Conolly.
A frustrated look appears on Conolly's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Well, if Crowe is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Crowe is pressing down on Conolly's thigh, looking to free his foot. Conolly is holding on for now.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Stanton Crowe just wasn't active enough.

Crowe fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Conolly sprawls well initially but Crowe persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Conolly takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Crowe is nestled in close to Conolly, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Crowe throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Conolly to regain full guard.
Conolly lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Crowe!

Conolly with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

Crowe is looking to improve his position but Conolly isn't that keen on the idea.
Stanton Crowe overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Stanton Crowe spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
