Vovchanchyn wants to get up but he can't break Pummel's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Pummel is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Vovchanchyn stands and steps away. Pummel gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Pummel. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
