Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Moraes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Julio Gutierrez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Daniel Moraes is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Gutierrez enables Moraes to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Gutierrez manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Gutierrez is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Moraes can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Moraes is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Gutierrez is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Gutierrez has escaped and now he's on top!
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Gutierrez is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Moraes will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Moraes stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Gutierrez swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Gutierrez shoots for a double leg takedown but Moraes sprawls well. He's pushed Gutierrez's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Moraes goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Gutierrez has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Moraes but great work by Gutierrez.
Gutierrez wants to lay and pray for a moment but Moraes keeps working.

Gutierrez has an Americana. Moraes didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Gutierrez is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Gutierrez hooks up with any of them at the after show party.

In his post fight interview, Julio Gutierrez started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
