Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Kelsey Curtis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Angus Troyer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Troyer has chosen Yankee Rose as his entrance music. Angus Troyer will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kelsey Curtis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Angus Troyer!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Bruno Hogan and Hugh Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Troyer takes the fight into the clinch.
Curtis is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Curtis is looking to take this one to the mat.

Troyer chips away with some ground and pound.

We're going to have a standup here because Kelsey Curtis wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Curtis is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Troyer's half guard.

Curtis is looking for a kimura but Troyer is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Curtis to get the leverage.

Curtis drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Troyer manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Curtis has Troyer in his guard.

Curtis bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Troyer's guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Curtis goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Troyer has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Curtis but great work by Troyer.
You can see the frustration on Curtis's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Angus Troyer has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Curtis has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Curtis is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Troyer misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

and Curtis makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Troyer.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Troyer creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Curtis's defenses.
Curtis has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Troyer after a bit of a struggle.
Curtis tries to score a body lock takedown but Troyer shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Kelsey Curtis.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Curtis, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
