Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between El Bows (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rehti Ladi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ladi has chosen You Will Never Walk Alone as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, El Bows!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Rehti Ladi!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Robert Douchet and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bows thumps Ladi with a low kick.
Ladi misses with a straight left.
Ladi blocks a head kick by Bows.
Ladi takes a swing at Bows's ribcage but misses.
Ladi misses with an attempted mid kick.
Bows throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Ladi clobbers Bows with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Ladi throws a body punch but Bows moves out of range.
Nice jab there from Ladi.
Bows closes the distance looking to clinch

and Ladi counters with a head kick that drops Bows - he's looking to finish, following his stunned foe to the ground!


Bows is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Bows is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Bows wants to get back to his feet.
Ladi thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Bows's head.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Ladi lands a nice short elbow.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bows wants to improve his position but Ladi is controlling well.
Ladi is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Ladi not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Bows wants to get back to full guard.
Ladi tries to pass to full mount but Bows defends it.
Bows is looking to improve his position.
Ladi thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Bows is not content to let Ladi control the position.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Ladi wants to pass to mount but Bows is defending the position.
Ladi prevents Bows from improving his position.

Bows has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Ladi is working away from the top position though.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Ladi throws a sloppy head kick and Bows moves out of range easily.
Bows tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Ladi manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
El Bows seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Bows tries to close the distance and clinch up but Ladi swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Bows throws a push kick but Ladi slaps the foot to one side.

and Bows cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
A combination from Bows does no damage.

Ladi throws a body kick despite being completely out of range
and Bows counters with a nice leg kick.
Bows slips a straight right by Ladi.
Bows rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Ladi cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Bows is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Ladi with a hook.
Ladi bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Ladi is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
Ladi misses with a body kick.
A looping hook to the body misses from Ladi. Bows does a little dance to reset his feet.
Ladi lands the left hand.
Bows lands with a good body shot.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Ladi pivots, looking for a leg kick but Bows is out of range and Ladi settles back down.
Ladi misses with a looping right.

Ladi lands with an overhand left.
Bows has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Ladi.
Bows tries to close the distance and clinch but Ladi swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Bows lands with a thumping leg kick.
Ladi wants to slow Bows down by chopping away at his legs.
Ladi dodges the punch combination from Bows.
Ladi throws a head kick that half lands.
Bows is looking to clinch but Ladi is avoiding it.
Bows moves out of range of the body kick.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Bows moves in looking to clinch but Ladi pushes him off.
Bows throws a head kick that misses.
Bows avoids the head kick by Ladi.
Bows keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rehti Ladi dominated that round.

A jab lands there for Ladi.
Nice body kick there by Ladi.
Bows takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Ladi thows a body shot but no joy.
Ladi has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Bows throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Ladi's head.
Bows moves out of range of the body kick.
Ladi looks to throw the jab but Bows is out of range.
Bows misses with an uppercut
and Ladi counters with a right hand to the body.
Bows slips a jab from Ladi.
Bows lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Bows throws a series of punches but Ladi moves out of range.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Bows lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Ladi fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Bows displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Ladi throws out the jab.

A head kick misses from Ladi.
Bows scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Ladi lands with a thumping leg kick.
Bows fails with an attempt to clinch.

Ladi lands a high kick to the side of Bows's head that stuns him and send him tumbling down to the canvas! Ladi dives into guard, looking to finish.
Oh Bows is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Ladi in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Ladi keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Bows's head.
Ladi stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bows swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Bows seems to have got his legs back now.
Ladi wants to control from the top but Bows keeps moving.
Ladi scoring with some ground and pound.
Ladi pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Bows is keeping the position for now.
Ladi has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Ladi won't allow Bows to get back to his feet.

Bows utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Ladi postures up in Bows's guard and throws a big left but Bows blocks it.
Bows tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Ladi lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Bows has momentary wrist control but Ladi slips an elbow through the middle.

Ladi passes Bows's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Bows wants to get back to full guard but Ladi has mounted him!
Ladi lands a nice shot to the head.
Ladi misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Ladi throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Ladi has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Ladi lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

Bows might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Bows is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Ladi scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Bows?
Poor strikes thrown by Ladi there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Ladi cracks Bows with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:47 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Rehti Ladi!
