Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Deano Clavet (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and M J Shain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shain has chosen Thunderstruck as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shain lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Clavet circles away quickly and effectively.
Shain throws a hook but Clavet avoids it easily.
M J Shain seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Shain swings for the body but Clavet moves out of range.
Shain throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Shain throws the left hand but Clavet avoids the punch easily.
Clavet rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Shain moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Clavet avoids the body shot from Shain.
Shain ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Clavet tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Shain manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Shain scores with a jab.
Shain misses with a hook.

Shain loads up on a big right hand but Clavet slips the punch.

Shain throws out a loose jab but Clavet uses good head movement to avoid it.

Shain slaps away a takedown attempt from Clavet, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Shain throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Shain looks to score with a jab to the body but Clavet is just out of range.

Clavet bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Shain throws a hook but Clavet blocks it.

Shain throws the left hand but Clavet avoids the punch easily.
Shain throws a lazy right hand but Clavet sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Clavet moves out of range of the strikes.
Shain scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Clavet decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Clavet is keen to just control but Shain is a slippery customer.
Clavet passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Shain!
Clavet breaks from Shain's wrist control and lands an elbow.

Clavet looking for a guillotine from mount but Shain is having none of it.
Clavet throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

Clavet throwing strikes here but Shain is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Clavet throwing strikes but Shain bucks up and reverses the position. He's now in guard on top.
Shain must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Shain avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Shain gets to his feet. Clavet looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Clavet looks to clinch
and Shain counters with a three punch combo that has Clavet backing up. Clavet nods at Shain to acknowledge the strikes.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Shain misses the jab.
Shain misses the shot to the body.
Clavet fails with an attempt to clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

M J Shain dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Shain looks to land a right hand but Clavet moved out of range.
Shain missing with a left hand there. Clavet was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Clavet drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Clavet looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Shain is avoiding damage well.
Clavet throwing strikes but Shain manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control!
Clavet gets back to half guard.
Shain is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Shain prevents Clavet from getting the reversal.

Clavet has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Shain has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Clavet's face.

Clavet is rocked!

Clavet is working to get back to half guard.
Shain cracks Clavet with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
