The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Barley drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
TupperII wants to sweep here but Barley controlling him for the moment.
TupperII bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Barley's guard.
TupperII has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

TupperII is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Barley is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Barley has escaped and now he's on top!

Barley is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Barley has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
TupperII wants to get up but he can't break Barley's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

TupperII gets to his feet. Barley looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Barley dives in and scores a takedown into TupperII's guard.

Barley got a little sloppy there for a moment and TupperII has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Barley has managed to get both his arms back between TupperII's legs - danger averted.
Barley is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
TupperII is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Barley chips away with some ground and pound.
Barley works a leg free and moves into half guard.

Let's hope that Barley has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Hoppsan Barley.
TupperII throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Barley's waist but Barley gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing TupperII off to one side.
TupperII fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Barley avoids it really well and circles away.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Barley looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? TupperII is fending him off so far but Barley persists. Nope, TupperII circles away and we're back to standing.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!



Barley fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. TupperII sprawls well initially but Barley persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Barley is looking for a kimura but TupperII is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Barley to get the leverage.
TupperII is controlling Barley's trapped leg to prevent Barley from advancing to side control.
Barley perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
TupperII tries to get to full guard but Barley has control of the leg.
Barley drops an elbow to the side of TupperII's head.
TupperII is looking to control Barley's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can TupperII avoid being mounted?

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Barley wants to take a breather but TupperII is having none of it.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
TupperII slaps away a takedown attempt from Barley, before circling back to the center of the mat.
TupperII moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Barley misses with an uppercut. TupperII saw that one coming.
Bobby TupperII is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Barley gets tackled into the cage by TupperII. TupperII maintains the clinch.
TupperII looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
TupperII wants a takedown but no success here.
TupperII is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Barley to keep the fight standing.

Barley drops TupperII with a right and a left! Barley comes rushing in but TupperII regains his composure and manages to keep Barley in guard.


It looks like Bobby TupperII has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Barley is taking a breather. TupperII says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Barley postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for TupperII to stand up.

TupperII closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Barley to the mat! Barley manages to get full guard.

Barley is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Hoppsan Barley showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Well Barley has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
