And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Aladar Horvath !
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Trevor Gratis and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horvath scores with a jab to the jaw.
Folignus throws a right hand that misses
and Horvath counters with a straight right hand.
Horvath throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Horvath missing with a left hand there. Folignus was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Folignus throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Aladar Horvath seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Horvath lands with a good body shot.
Horvath takes a swing at Folignus's ribcage but misses.
A swing and a miss from Horvath .
Horvath misses with an uppercut

and Folignus counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Folignus is working for a submission of some sort.

Folignus is looking for a kimura here.

Horvath won't allow Folignus to pass to mount.

Folignus is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Horvath is staying active underneath Folignus, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Horvath wants to get back to his feet.
Folignus is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Folignus tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Horvath is trying to stand.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Folignus looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.

Folignus with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Horvath is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Folignus locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Horvath is forced to tap!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Nick Folignus!
A very excited looking Nick Folignus rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
