Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kaice Gunn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Reid (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Paul Reid acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Skip Squint and Eliza Hachem.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gunn swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Reid.
Gunn throws a nice looking combination but Reid bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Reid gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Reid sneaks out the side door and pushes Gunn away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.
Reid throws a right and a left that Gunn avoids nicely.

Gunn lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Reid circles away quickly and effectively.

Reid shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Gunn pinned against the cage. Gunn gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

No joy there for Reid, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Kaice Gunn.

After the fight, Kaice Gunn was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
